Ranger-Forums.com has grown tremendously over the past years and we thank all of you for being a part of this growing community. In order to keep the forums running smoothly, and to prevent problems, please follow these simple rules and policies for the forums here. General Rules

• While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, profanity (or attempts to bypass profanity filters), insulting content or images, personal attacks, or purposeless inflammatory content or images. Our decision is final in these matters.

• Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, and the like.

• Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase post count or spam the forum is not allowed.

• Advertising, spamming, and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum, e-mail, visitor messages, picture comments, and private message systems to spam other members.

• Please wait a reasonable amount of time before bumping threads. As a general rule, use 24 hours as a guideline.

• We do not allow posts or links to sites that are sexual in nature or violate Ranger-Forums.com community standards. The Ranger-Forums.com staff team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.

• Discussion of illegal activities, such as: software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations, is not allowed.

• Each member is allowed one account. Registering with and using multiple accounts is not allowed.

• While we are quite happy to have constructive, comparative conversations about competitor’s products, however, we will not tolerate blatant adverts.

• Blatant bashing or promotion of other forums is not allowed.

• We reserve the right to remove offensive content and images without notice.

• If you are going to post in a non-English language, please also post an English translation of your post.

• Threads and posts debating site rules and policies are not allowed. Please private message an administrator if you have issue with the site rules or policies.

• Threads and posts discussing staff actions are not allowed. Please private message an administrator if you have issue with a staff action.

• You may not post any referral links, or anything asking for a referral. Such posts will be subject to removal.

• You may not post advertisements or notices for contests.

• Private messages should be considered confidential information. Therefore, private messages publically posted in the forums will be deleted.

• We reserve the right to ban anyone who willfully violates the forum rules and policies, as access to our forums are a privilege and not a right.

• While these rules and policies cover the most common situations, we cannot anticipate every situation. Consequently, we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.

Advertising Services and Solicitation

We do not allow members to post messages or threads or send private messages or e-mails to advertise or solicit any products, services, funds, or donations. Explicit advertising or soliciting in avatars, signatures, and titles is also prohibited. Only approved site vendors may advertise or solicit a product and/or service.

Marketplace

The marketplace forum is open to all members, regardless of post count.

You must post threads in the correct marketplace sub-forum for the item. We have six marketplace sub-forums to choose from. If you are unsure, please contact a staff member before posting.

All for sale threads must include asking price(s); there will be no 'Best Offer' threads. You may, however, list an item, '$100 OBO.'

You must include the location of the item in the thread title. You do not have to list the city, but you must at least have the state/province in the thread title. This is for any thread posted in the marketplace section (e.g.., For Sale, Want to Buy, Want to Trade, Checking Interest, eBay or Craigslist Find).

No illegal, banned, stolen, or questionable items allowed to be bought, sold, or traded on Ranger-Forums.com.

Over posting, spamming, or abuse of marketplace forum not allowed. Please use an alternative method, such as: eBay or Craigslist.

Violation of a marketplace or general forum rule will find your post(s) and/or thread(s) removed or edited, no exceptions.

Third-Party Disputes

We will not mediate third-party disputes due to third-party purchases. Third-party purchases include any product not directly purchased from Ranger-Forums.com. Purchasing items from another company or member is done at your own risk. If you have an issue with a third-party regarding their support or conduct then you will need to handle it through the means they provide. Any such threads on this topic will be closed.

Avatars

Avatars are limited to 100x100 and may not be animated for registered members. Supporter avatars may be animated and are limited to 144x168. Avatars are how most people will remember you by on the forum. Avatars may not contain anything deemed offensive by the staff of Ranger-Forums.com. Avatars are a privilege and can be removed from a member if abused.

Signatures

Signatures are limited to 700 characters for registered members, 750 characters for level I supporters, 800 characters for level II supporters, and 1000 characters for level III supporters. Please do not use excessive smilies, bullets, or font sizes. Signatures can be requested made smaller by the administration if they are seen as obnoxious. Signatures are a privilege and can be removed from a member if abused.

Infraction System

Ranger-Forums utilizes an infraction system for rule and policy violations. In some cases, a warning may be given, which does not apply any infraction points to a user account.

Marketplace Price and/or Location Violation = 1 infraction point expiring in 15 days.
Posting in Incorrect Sub-Forum = 1 infraction point expiring in 15 days.                                                                                
Useless Posting in Thread(s) = 1 infraction point expiring in 30 days.                                                            
Over Post/Spam of Marketplace Forum = 1 infraction point expiring in 60 days.                                                            
Inappropriate Language = 1 infraction point expiring in 60 days.
Inappropriate Marketplace Conduct = 2 infraction points expiring in 30 days.
Insults Toward Member(s) = 2 infraction points expiring in 60 days.
Unapproved Advertisement or Soliciting = 2 infraction points expiring in 90 days.
Inappropriate Conduct Toward Sponsor(s) = 2 infraction points expiring in 90 days.
Spammed Advertisement or Soliciting = 3 infraction points expiring in 90 days.
Unapproved PM Advertisement or Soliciting = 3 infraction points expiring in 120 days.
Member Poaching to Another Site = 4 infraction points expiring in 120 days.
Racism or Discrimination Toward Member(s) = 4 infraction points expiring in 120 days.
Threats Toward Member(s) = 5 infraction points expiring in 120 days.
Inappropriate Conduct Toward Staff = 6 infraction points expiring in 120 days.
Commercial Spammer = 20 infraction points never expiring.

6 Infraction Points = Automatic 7 Day Ban
8 Infraction Points = Automatic 14 Day Ban
10 Infraction Points = Automatic 21 Day Ban
12 Infraction Points = Automatic 30 Day Ban
18 Infraction Points = Automatic 60 Day Ban
20 Infraction Points = Automatic Permanent Ban

5 Infractions Given = Automatic 3 Day Ban
10 Infractions Given = Automatic 7 Day Ban

If you have received a temporary ban and are found to be using an alternate account to circumvent the temporary ban all associated accounts may be permanently banned from Ranger-Forums.com.

Moderation

Although the administrators and moderators of Ranger-Forums.com will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the staff of Ranger-Forums.com, nor Internet Brands, Inc., will be held responsible for the content of any message.

By agreeing to these rules and policies, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any Ranger-Forums.com rules and policies or city, state, and federal laws.

The staff of Ranger-Forums.com reserve the right to remove, edit, move, or close any post or thread for any reason without notice. Requests for deletion of content (threads, posts, pictures, etc.) is at the discretion of the administration unless a DMCA notice or court order is provided.

Staff Disputes

Any disputes with a staff member of Ranger-Forums.com will be handled in private through the private message system. If you wish to escalate any issue with a staff member then please contact an administrator.

Addendum

Ranger-Forums.com reserves the right to update and modify these rules and policies as the needs of the forum dictate to ensure the smooth operation of this community.
