2006 RWD leaf spring vs lift block.
Good afternoon fellas. I have a 2006 Ford Ranger as my HVAC service truck. I did a factory coil spring replacement. And things were more or less okay when I had the airbag kit to help level the truck. But the airbag kit broke and now it's naturally sitting 2 in lower in the rear and I wanted to level it out but I'm debating on which would be better, adding a leaf spring or adding a leveling block?

An add-a-leaf will help with the flattening of the leaves, but with the weight you're carrying in the back, you might need an add-a-leaf and a block to get it where you want it.
If you go the block route, try to get the ones that have a kick-out for the bump-stops like the factory ones are. That reduces the chance of them walking out since they get trapped by the u-bolts.

I had a shop build me a custom set of leaf springs for my 05 v6 XLT 2wd that were rated 1700 lbs after discovering i had broke parts of the stock lief springs while camping in the desert. After that I got acuride air bags with on board compressor. I am a carpenter / master builder and I am constantly carring too much weight. The new springs keep my truck always with a small lift in the back and the air bags just help with the ride (comfort)
