1994 Ford Ranger STX 4x4 - $2700 North Carolina.

Category: Clean Title
Status: Domestic

I have a 1994 Ford Ranger STX 4x4 for sale, in USA - North Carolina.

Mileage: 204600 miles
Engine Size: 4.0

Asking price is $2700

Runs great, does have some lifter noise. Brand new 32" tires on new aluminum rims. A/c works and it's had a water pump within the last couple years. It does have dents and scratches on it. Has tool box and bed mat along with a receiver/hitch. 204,600 miles

I have done the following to the truck within the last 6 months: Spark plugs and wires, thermostat, upper and lower radiator hoses, leveling kit, tires and wheels, front rotors/bearings/grease seals, front calipers and pads, alignment, balljoints, rear shoes/wheel cylinders/hardware kit, drive belt, MAF sensor, IAC valve, pass. power window motor, replaced all instrument cluster lights, fuel filter, air filter, fuel pump and sending unit.

Park is gone out of the transmission, evidently the previous owner jammed it in park while rolling, knocking out the parking pawl. I just use the emergency brake.

I've spent well over $2,000 on the truck recently(over $1k in tires/ wheels alone). The truck runs great and is ready to go. Asking $2700 obo. Price IS negotiable, the truck is not perfect and is 16 years old. For details feel free to call 919-452-5903 or PM if you have any questions. I'm only selling because i have 2 trucks and could use the money. Thanks

Thanks for the kind words Taylor.

The truck is pretty clean, but i will say it has been well used. It has its share of dents and dings. Body is rust free. There is quite a large dent in the drivers rear between the tire and bumper. The engine runs great but does have some internal noise. This is not the reason i'm selling it, it has had the noise since i bought it. I'm selling to help me and my wife pay off some debt.

I run a shop and I've seen many of these 4.0's and 2.9's with some internal noise. One in particular that's VERY loud internally and she just keeps on ticking. This truck is a good knock around truck but i wouldn't want to commute lots of miles on it a day. I used it to take trash to the dump, drive to work, and keep miles off of my superduty. It has done all of that and i have had zero problems out of it.

If any of you are interested just let me know. The price is very negotiable and i'm not trying to hide a thing on the truck. It's not a jewel but it is perfect for hunting, riding in the woods, going to the dump, driving locally, etc. Thanks!

i'd love to have another STX. yours is super clean, but what happend to the lower Valence? i think any car that has fog lights is automatically cooler than the rest. what are the current STX stickers you have on there? i took my stripes off on day 1 too.

I removed the valance, when 4 wheeling it would always end up hitting on the way out of holes.

I think i've decided to keep the truck everyone. I've had some people come to look at it and no one wanted to give me anywhere near what i'm asking. I'd rather keep the truck around, it's worth more than $1k to me. I'll probably be putting an engine and transmission in it eventually. She runs good now, just has some internal noise.

Good man.

You have the know-how to do it.

So what are your plans as far as engine/tranny?

Tranny i'll probably just get a stock rebuild. For the engine i'll probably put some of the world products heads(much stouter) and i may throw in a mild cam while i'm at it. We'll see what happens.
